Hit the bricks pal

NYC. New York, New York. The city so nice they named it twice. Not likely. It's funny how rude someone can become once they live in NY.
Leave it to the MTA to foul up everyone's day and shut down the system.
What the governor should do is fire them all like Reagan did with the air traffic controllers. That'll fix the problem.

The transit workers initially sought a 24% wage increase over three years

That's an utterly ridiculous demand. I'm no fan of an entirely open market, by any means. The older I get, the more I see that Adam Smith's ideas differ from Marx's only in direction; they're both extreme viewpoints with no application in the real world. But unions can be just as much a problem as robber barons and sweatshops.

I agree with you; fire them all. Both Pataki and Bloomberg claim the strike is illegal. If it is indeed against their charter, then fire the whole lot of them and start over.

How many Americans have the balls to strike during a slow or maybe no-growth economy.
It's almost funny how demanding some people can get, almost.
I guess since they are New Yorkers they can't help but be rude and demanding.
You wouldn't see this crap flying here in Texas.
