The Big Hurt

I'm not sure how blaming the administration for a lack of readiness is in some way going to lessen the impact of the devastation that has ocurred. Hindsight being 20/20 and all, maybe the millions of Americans who chose not to vote in 2004 will decide voting in the next election will be something worth considering?

Indeed. Most especially the Louisiana voters who put that clueless bimbo into their governer's mansion.

The federal government is bending over backwards to throw money, time, and people at solving this problem, but the real fault was in lack of foresight and planning on the part of the local and state governments.

The so-called mayor of The Wet Spot Formerly Known As New Orleans needs to stop casting stones and start doing something constructive. Not that I expect that to happen any time soon.

The Wet Spot, I like that. As for the politicians involved, they all fail miserably.
